Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and how to request deletion of your data.

Request Data Deletion

You can delete your BooKoo account and all associated data at any time. Signed-in users can start the deletion from their Account page's Danger Zone, which permanently removes your transactions, mileage logs, budgets, goals, invoices, estimates, and profile from our servers.

Delete My Account

You'll be asked to sign in first, then confirm the deletion. This cannot be undone.

This Privacy Policy explains what information BooKoo ("we", "us") collects when you use our expense tracking service, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using BooKoo you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, and password when you register.
  • Financial data you enter: transactions, categories, budgets, goals, planned items, mileage logs, tax deductions, invoices, and estimates, plus any receipt images you upload.
  • Profile details: business type, category preferences, and budget goals you choose during onboarding.
  • Payment information: subscription billing is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details; Stripe provides us your plan status and customer reference.
  • Usage data: basic analytics events (for example, that a transaction was logged) so we can understand which features are used.

How we use your information

  • To operate BooKoo: display your data, compute dashboards and tax estimates, and sync your account across devices.
  • To manage your subscription and process payments through Stripe.
  • To send essential account emails such as verification codes, password resets, and invites.
  • To improve the product and provide support when you contact us.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your financial data is visible only to you unless you explicitly create a share link (for example, a public mileage log link). We share information only with the service providers needed to run BooKoo — our hosting platform, Stripe for payments, and email delivery — each of which processes data on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Account page's Danger Zone (see "Request Data Deletion" above), or by contacting us. Deletion removes your records from our servers and cannot be undone.

Security

We protect your data in transit and at rest, restrict internal access, and never store full payment card details. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may update your profile on the Account page, export your data, disable optional sharing links, and cancel your subscription at any time. For any privacy question or request, contact us through the Contact page.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BooKoo. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use BooKoo. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

2. Subscriptions and billing

BooKoo offers a Free plan and paid Pro and Business subscriptions billed monthly through Stripe. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your Account page, and cancellation takes effect immediately by moving you to the Free plan. Prices may change with reasonable notice. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

3. Your data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into BooKoo. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it solely to operate the service. You may export or delete your data at any time.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use BooKoo for unlawful purposes or to track illegal income.
  • Do not attempt to access other users' data, scrape the service, or circumvent plan limits or security controls.
  • Do not abuse support channels or share links intended for private use.

5. Tax estimates are estimates

Tax figures, mileage deductions, and quarterly payment estimates produced by BooKoo are rough calculations, not tax advice. Tax rates and rules change and may not reflect your jurisdiction or circumstances. Always consult a qualified tax professional before filing.

6. Disclaimers

BooKoo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BooKoo and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or tax outcomes arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using BooKoo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law, with notice where practical.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
